Consultation
A thorough consultation should be carried out prior to undertaking any work. A patch test should be carried out at least 48 hours before treatment. This is where a small sample of the products are placed on the surface of the skin behind the ear or inside of the wrist to check for any severe allergic reaction.
Using Topical Anaesthetic
A topical anesthetic is applied to the ares which is optional during treatment to reduce discomfort.Painaway Gel may also be used and is intended for pre numbing and can be used on unbroken skin. This is applied 10 - 15 minutes before treatment and then covered with cling film type dressing. Both numbing agents can be used in conjunction with each other.
Effects after Treatment
After the treatment, a thick tough crust will form on the skin surface, this should fall away in around 10-14 days the length of time it takes to come away is an indication of the harshness of the treatment, heavier deeper treatments will take longer.
Treatments Required
The number of treatments can vary depending on the condition of the original tattoo, age type and history. As a general rule tattoos should usually be gone or significantly faded after around 3 to 4 treatments. However it can take less or more treatments and no guarantee is made as to how many treatments a tattoo will actually require.Darkening of Original Tattoo
After treatment a tattoo can become darker and more vivid. This is quite normal there are two reasons for this effect, during the removal pigment is not always fully ejected during the crusting process but can be moved upwards towards or into the epidermis, which may then be shed by the skins natural regrowth process over a period of months.
Ink Removal
As an approximate guide 1 treatment of e-raze is equivalent to around 6 sessions of laser treatment. Again due to the unique nature of every tattoo complete colour removal may not be possible around 95 percent of people should be able to enjoy complete colour removal, depending on original tattoo condition. However some people may have elements that may be difficult or high risk to remove.
